Hello Kitty sweater: Forever 21

Can you say "Yay for rainy weather so I can wear my sweater!"? I just did, haha. Picked up this cute Hello Kitty sweater a few weeks ago, (ON CLEARANCE) and thought it would be a nice day to wear. Sorry for the weird poses today, I was trying to be cute. Rainy weather always calls for sweaters. They just make you look nice and warm when it looks dreary outside. SO KAWAII TOO. Okay enough cuteness for a day, haha.

OOTD: March 1, 2014

Hey guys! So today marks the first time I'm gonna start doing OOTD's! I guess I picked the wrong day to do it, because my outfit as you can tell is completely casual. Just my science bowl t-shirt (May the mass times acceleration be with you!) and some jeans. It was because yesterday was my school's formal and I was really tired to do anything, so I decided to keep it simple. But I mean the point I'm gonna teach you fashionistas is that if you are feeling completely casual and tired to "dress to impress", don't fret! You can just look rocker with a graphic tshirt, jeans, a cardigan, and hipster glasses (yes they are perscription!). For my hair, I just did it in a bun because the curls are still there from last night and would make my hair too glamorous for this look. So, that's my OOTD. Very casual, but still doesn't look like you are underdressed. Keep on the lookout for more OOTD's coming your way!

Luvocracy craze!

Hi all! So I feel like with my blog I can't always keep up with you guys my latest craze and what I've been loving, but I remembered I had something that you guys can look at and see what things I've been liking. So, you may know this site Luvocracy (Bubz, AndreasChoice, Bethany Mota, Marzia...all those people use it) and it's like Pinterest but with all products that you are able to pay for from the site, which makes it super duper easy! Kiddish Catchy Songs.

Hey guys! So to fulfill my lack of posting, I thought I would talk to you guys about what I've been listening to...and for some odd reason, it's A TON of kiddy songs. I know I'm a 17 year old girl that should listen to Katy Perry's Dark Horse or 1D's Story of My Life...which I do because it's always on the radio when I drive. BUT, they don't stay in my head like these songs do. So, I'm here to tell you guys you don't have to be too old to love these songs and sing them!

So the first song is no newbie to anyone that's seen viral. AND THIS SONG WENT VIRAL. But I love "Dumb Ways to Die". Not only because it is the cutest thing in the world, but it is super catchy. I'm like bobbing my head back and forth just listening to it. And it raises awareness about...train safety?? Yes! So be safe around trains guys, and don't do any of these dumb ways to die either. And with this, it will stick in your head well and you can sway back and forth to it too.

Yeah, this song too. This song I just started listening to every hour on the hour, haha. It's because I just watched "The Muppets" a week ago and it was such a good movie. (Recommended for kids and adults). But this song is no stranger to a Muppets fan. And it has such a good meaning too, about finding a connection between people and how it establishes that relationship. Yeah, it makes me feel happy and cuddly. 

And lastly, any Disney lover knows this by heart. And will dance to it, and I bet you will work out to it too. I would so work out to this song. I feel like it just motivates me so much. I was coming back from a basketball game and our players were just singing this song by heart. It's such a catchy song about making a man out of a woman and a bunch of unskilled men haha. Donny Osmond, you done good. You done good. 

SO, there you guys go! You may feel like your songs just don't make you get up and sway your body or motivate you to be a man. Well, I'm here to tell you that you can be a kid again and listen to these songs and feel motivated, feel nostalgic, and teach you some things too.

Advice from a pony.

So, I have this Facebook program called "Ponyhoof" where you can "Ponify" your Facebook and this is the new status bar: "What lessons in friendship have you learned today?" And, I thought it was very cute, and at the same time, very eye grabbing to me, because a lot just happened in the last four hours and it made me feel very upset, very stressed, and I didn't even want to have any sort of hope because I just feel like something failed. If you guys are in competitive sports, you know what I mean. It's never fun to lose by 2 points in basketball (one point in baseball, 3/7 in football, you get the point.) But it's not fun, rather it makes you mad because you thought that you had a chance, but chances go bye and life doesn't always go the way you planned. I hate seeing careless mistakes, times when we could've made more shots, but we missed. It depresses me. To tell you guys a secret, I got home and I just cried. In front of my parents. All because we lost. I wasn't even playing and I still got emotional. It was hard to see...I couldn't handle to see that we were so close, yet so far. So, I go and I pull up Facebook and this comes up. (Interesting I had never seen this before...)

Anyway, so what lessons have I learned in friendship today? Always be there for them. For my friends who played the game, they must've felt pretty crappy afterward. One of my friends wouldn't even speak. He was just so beat up after it and felt like he failed at something. Inside, I bet they all felt that. They failed at a game they could've won, and it was pretty depressing to watch those last minutes. But, don't be the one that will mope with them. Be the encouraging one. I was going to post on Facebook to them this, but I decided to hold back...*bad of me, I know...* but here it is if I ever get the guts to do it.

"Hey guys, so even though today, you might've felt like you failed and you could've won but you didn't, I just want you to know that you guys played pretty good today. Don't stare at the negatives forever, but look at the positive. Most of the time, you guys had great defense. The number of times the went up for threes because you guys didn't let them in is phenomenal. That is something to cheer about. And when you guys did score, it was exciting to see you could score that many against them. Whenever you guys score, whether you splash or you layup, it's always showing progress and how far you've come. I know that we might feel depressed after that game, but don't be so sad, be happy that you guys did a good job, and I have never felt more proud than to be a manager for this team. I know I sound like a mother, but I'm blessed to be a manager for you guys. Everyone messes up, teams will have these losses. Some lose like this in the championship, but you move on and you kick butt next time."

And that's basically it. So I learned that you always care for your friends, you have to be the encourager for when there's no one there to encourage. Just remember that.

90's & 00's Kid Tag!

So, I watched Jen FromHeadtoToe and Phil Wang do a 90's Kid tag today and I thought that it would be really good of me to do a 90's Kid tag too because I feel like now that I'm almost an adult, I'm getting old D: and I need to relive my past so I can be a kid for a little longer, haha. So let's get started with the tag, shall we?

NOTE: I tagged this the 90's/00's Kid tag because I was only in the 90's for 4 years so I decided to do both, but I'm only going up to 2004ish. 

1. Favorite Disney Channel Original Movie.

I started watching Disney Channel around the age of 8, and I was really obsesssed with the movie "Cadet Kelly", like to the point where I really wanted to go to a military school. I know, crazy. But Cadet Kelly made military school look cool and every girl could have this fun if they went. I grew up and found that..not to be true...haha.

2. Favorite Music Artist.

My favorite artist (from the age of 4) was Britney Spears. Now, I know that Britney Spears had lots of ups and downs but Britney in the 90's was for sure an up. I feel awesome to have the same name as her and to have seen her in concert at the age of 4 (My mom had a free ticket) and after, I was just crazy about her music. Like when you're a kid, you want to dance. And her music made you do that. Even though my favorite song is Lucky, I still loved dancing to her other songs.

3. Favorite Nick Jr. Show.

FOR SURE HAS TO BE BLUE'S CLUES. (Okay tbh I thought for the longest time Blue was a boy. I'm sorry. I was 4.) BUT I WAS OBSESSED WITH THIS SHOW like to the point where I stuck clues around my house and I was like "LOOK IT'S A CLUE." I knew like every song they would sing like when Steve got a letter. And of course, I would sing the song every moment of the day. Oh, childhood.

4. Favorite Candy.

So, as a child, I wasn't always allowed to have candy because candy = cavities and my parents believed that candy was the root of all evil despite it's good taste. But, if I had to choose a favorite candy, I would say probably Push Pops or Baby Bottle Pop because I love those fruity candy that is just straight up hardened fruit juice and sugar. 

5. Favorite game. (Board game, Recess game, etc.)

I was really obsessed with the board game Candyland when I was little. (Maybe that explains why I loved candy so much.) But when you're a kid, you can't really play a lot because you don't know how to play it, but with Candyland, you just pick a card and go to the corresponding color and try and get to the end, and it was really fun!

6. Favorite McDonald's toy. 

I'm really general, but I loved whenever McDonald's came out with the Hello Kitty toys. I loved Hello Kitty as a child, I love Hello Kitty even now and I remember when one time, McDonald's did this promo when they would sell Hello Kitty stuffed animals and my mom and I tried to collect them all and they were actual life size stuffed animals. I guess it doesn't really count as a toy, BUT IT WAS A REALLY GOOD CONCEPT!

7. Favorite book. 

Hmm. My favorite book (book series, actually) would have to be the "Boxcar Children" series. I would actually race to see how many I could read and see if I could read them all. But, I loved those "mystery solving" books because they were the most interesting!

8. Favorite Clothing Store. 

Well, my mom usually bought me my clothes as I was a child, so I didn't really have a clothing store that I loved to go to...

9. What would you watch when you got home? 

Dragon Tales & Arthur, haha. I would be at my grandma's house for the majority of the day, because my parents worked and my grandma would let me watch cartoons in the morning, and later on when I got home, the cartoons would come back on PBS Kids and Arthur and Dragon Tales came on and that's what I spend my afternoon watching, haha.

10. Favorite TV Show.

To this day, even at the age of 17, if anyone asked me what my favorite show was as a kid, I would say Rugrats. No hesitation, no thinking, it was always Rugrats. Of course I would have other shows I loved, Powerpuff Girls, Hey Arnold!, and CatDog being the close runner-ups, but Rugrats was #1. Something always fascinated me about babies that would talk and desert their parents to have this amazing adventure. 

So, I decided to end it at 10 even though there's like 19 questions but here's a snippet of my life as a kid. I really miss the days of being small, but I'm excited to be an adult soon too! YAY VOTING!
