Lookbooking #2: Baby, It's Cold Outside.

front of the look
Hey guys! So, today is another Looklet day because I'm going to try and keep up with you guys on my lookbooking as much as I possibly can, without forgetting. So, this look is another fall look, because I love warm colors so much, and Fall is the perfect time to wear them. And, pretty soon, I'm probably gonna have to wear beanies everyday to school, so that's where the touch of beanie comes in. That and the scarves.
But the thing I really found myself contemplating and finally content about is whether I should really put that oversized black tank on, but I have really come to love it because I feel that anytime someone wears tights (khaki because of the "brown" contrasts), it has to go with some kind of dress. And I didn't want the dress to be so long that it reached the knees, so I think the oversized tank did the trick. Also I dig the boots so much. I really want some lace up combat boots for winter. Actually, I just want to change a good amount of my wardrobe around. (Maybe I'll do a haul or something!) Okay, that's all I have to say about this look, hope you guys like it! --Bea

Starbucks Favorites!

Hello guys! So, thanks to my friend, I have been enamored by Starbucks. I just love their drinks a lot and what I love about them is that there are so many varieties to choose from, I can literally have one drink per day and it can be a different drink for the whole week. So, here are some of my recommendations for Starbucks drinks that I think you guys should try.
So, many of my friends have told me about this drink, which is actually not listed on many menus point blank. But they say it's one of the greatest drinks you will ever taste, and when I tried it, I wholeheartedly agreed with them and loved it. This is the Iced Green Tea Latte. Basically it's green tea matcha powder, milk, and ice. But it literally tastes like green tea ice cream (one of the best flavors in existence!) And, if you guys like the Green Tea Frap, then I feel like you'll equally love this. The thing I have found to dislike about the Frap though is that all the blended ice gets stuck, even when it's double blended.  So, if you hate that too, then just get this! (One downside is that they put too much ice, but I can't complain.)
The next drink that I have come to love is the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher, and whenever I drink this, I just feel so relaxed. It's literally all that refreshing can be. Funny little anecdote, I actually was out with my friend and I went in to Starbucks to order one, but they said they ran out of the berries, so I got it back and my drink was clear, and I was deceived that they put red food coloring in it, but apparently it's the berries that give it color because it tasted good without the berries.
The next drink that I devised is actually a concoction that I made up half on my own and loved it, but it's the Iced Caramel Macchiato with just one pump of mocha. Not two, because that will make it too sweet but one will do the trick. Now you ask me, "Why don't you just get an Iced Mocha?" And I'll tell you, "Because I like caramel too!" So yeah, it's a good drink mix to me, next time though I have to try the Hazelnut Macchiato because I hear that one's good as well.
This one I had to take off of Starbucks' website because it's a hot drink and I can't show you the cup and what's inside unless the cup is clear, but if I had to get any hot coffee (for rainy weather, mornings, or late night baseball games) then I would get the White Chocolate Mocha. (For winter, I love the Peppermint Mocha, but that's "seasonal"...-.-) But I think that attracts me to mochas are that I love CHOCOLATE. Chocolate and coffee together literally make heaven in a cup. And then you ask, "Why white chocolate though?" And I respond, "Because white chocolate is better than regular milk chocolate, hahah." And it's true! I love white chocolate.

And there you have it! 4 of my favorite things to get at Starbucks. Honorable mentions go to the Fraps because I still hate that ice always clumps up when I drink it, but if I feel up to it, then I'll have a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frap. Also, if you guys are tired of the Starbucks menu and live for the hunt, then order something secret! Go to the Starbucks secret menu and check out all that baristas around the globe have made. My friend said the Cotton Candy Frap was to die for, I'll see if it's true!

See you at Starbucks,
Bea

Bea's Movie Marathon Playlist

Hey guys! So after getting home from another weekend of baseball, I came to find that there was a movie marathon on ABC Family that I could just spend 4 hours of my night watching. Which also got me thinking: wouldn't it be cool if you guys got to know me even better from my favorite movies? LOL, I thought I would share with you guys may favorite movies. And to keep the continuity of everything, I would pick movies from the same genre so it's not too scatterbrained. Disney and Pixar movies can be for another post haha.  *NOTE: REALLY SORRY THERE ARE SPOILERS BUT THESE MOVIES ALL HAVE HAPPY ENDINGS ANYWAY SO UHM, YEAH OKAY.
#1 on my list is one of my all time favorite movies, and it also happens to be the movie I'm watching as I type this post. But I love Grease. Not only because it's a musical movie, but I love movies that take place in high school settings filled with romance, bad boys, and the hand jive. So, Grease is the perfect catch isn't it? I actually have to thank my mum for letting me watch this movie with her when I was 10, and since then, I love watching every single minute of it's upbeat energy and sassy jokes.
#2 is another High School classic, straight from the 80's. And, this one doesn't have musical numbers every single minute but I like it because of it's emotion. And the fact that it's about complete strangers coming together on a Saturday because they all have detention makes the plot even better. So, yeah The Breakfast Club is a classic movie for all who haven't seen it. And, it's also gonna make you cry a freaking river. But oh well, it's for good reason, haha.
& Finally, #3 is another 80's movie that I love from the minute that my mom showed me. And, this one i just watched today as well. But the reason why I love Sixteen Candles is not just because Jake Ryan is the hottie of the century, but I love the storyline. Sixteen year old Sam has the worst birthday ever because her parents totally forget her birthday due to her sister's wedding. And what's even more awesome is Long Duck Dong, the foreign exchange student that comes out from the tree shouting "HEEY SEXY GIRLFRIEND!"

So there you have it, 3 of my favorite high school movies. It's awesome that most of these movies are from the 80's too haha, so I guess you can say that I'm secretly wishing to be an 80's kid, but I have my parents to tell me about those times so I can "reminisce" with them. Of course there are other 80's high school movies out there that I haven't watched: Footloose, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Pretty in Pink (or anything Molly Ringwald, LOL). If you guys love movies about the good ol' High School days then I suggest watching these movies, haha.

Now back to watching Grease,
Bea

My new favorite hobby!

Hey guys! So recently, my Math teacher/small group leader introduced us to try this new hobby so that we can make something special for someone that needs something special. And she told us that we should learn how to crochet! Now, I have learned how to knit in my past life. That lasted about 6 hours on New Year's Eve while I waited for the ball to drop. And it was a little hard. Crocheting though is not that hard! It was at first, but you're only using one needle instead of two and you do the same thing over and over again. So, I took up crocheting and made my own scarf.

Ain't it the prettiest thing? What I actually failed to show was that my scarf is disproportional to the max. But I made an excuse to say it was my first scarf so I don't give a darn. I'm really in love with the stiching though. If you guys want to know what the stiching is called, look up "Double Crochet Knot" and someone will inform you. But yes, this is my new found hobby and might I say, I love it already. I'm actually waiting to go to my grammy's house and get some more yarn to crochet another scarf maybe for Christmas presents, haha! And if you guys don't have anything to do, go out to your nearest craft store and purchase a crochet needle and take it up yourself! Because it's actually a pretty inexpensive hobby. The needle itself was $3 with tax and the yarn is about $5-7.

Until next plight,
Bea

Current Writing Projects

Hello guys! So as you can tell from the pictures (and the title), I'm going to be introducing my creative writing projects in this little segment today! Both of these are my "current" projects and are the projects I'm working on right now as we speak, so I'm spending my free time perfecting these. I decided to make a little picture of both of them to explain what they are and I'm going to further explain it to you with these little blurbs.

The first one is on the left, called If He Could Walk Again and that is a current movie I'm working on based on parts of my own life. (I really love "based off true events" stuff a lot!) And, the story portion of this movie can be found on my writing blog. To give you guys a quick blurb because I want you guys to go read it for yourself, the movie is basically about a girl who gets a friendly revisit from her deceased grandfather on the biggest day of her life: baseball opening day. {Insert movie question here} Can she use his help to save a league that is overthrown by coaches who only want to win? Yeah, so read up on that for the whole story if it sounds awesome to you! I was inspired by my grandfather himself who founded the league I work with now. (It is a small world afterall.) Here's to you grampy, miss you!

The second one, Rittler Park, is a TV series instead of a movie, so for that I've made episode synopses (those are unfortunately private for now, but I'll be sure to show you guys later a little update of what episodes I'll have for those!) But this has the same connotation, based on true events kind of thing. The name "Rittler Park" is actually a real park that I spend like 1/2 of my life at doing baseball things. But since I work with mostly little kids, then I wanted to make this show different, so I made the setting at a high school (Rittler Park High School, how creative am I.) and centered it around a "baseball" community of high school students, and the pressures they may be feeling to be the best along with the struggles they face as a student (romance, bad grades, rivalries, all that good stuff.)

So that's pretty much an update about my writings, I also have a big project I'm working on as well, but that can be put in one whole post as soon as I finish that. Hope you guys go check my writing blog for more of If He Could Walk Again! And Rittler Park posts will be coming soon on that as well. See you later for more awesome stuffs guys!

Sincerely, Bea

Lookbooking #1: A Seasonal Falling for Fall Look

Okay so since Looklet doesn't let you make profiles anymore, I had to manually save it and post it somewhere else to share it. But if you don't know what Looklet is, it's a fashion designing site where you can basically design your dream looks. Here's one I just designed, kind of encompassing a "fall style" with all these warm colors like pink. The pink and the denim jacket give it a "casual look" and I thought since the belt was a little teal, it would add a nice touch as well. So, that's all I have to say about this look, because there's actually not much I put into making it, it was all little things I put together, but I hope you guys thought it was a cute style, especially now that fall is here! Denim jackets have really become a hot item for fall and they look really nice with nice warm colors like pink and peach.

Until next design, Bea :)
