Bea's Movie Marathon Playlist

Hey guys! So after getting home from another weekend of baseball, I came to find that there was a movie marathon on ABC Family that I could just spend 4 hours of my night watching. Which also got me thinking: wouldn't it be cool if you guys got to know me even better from my favorite movies? LOL, I thought I would share with you guys may favorite movies. And to keep the continuity of everything, I would pick movies from the same genre so it's not too scatterbrained. Disney and Pixar movies can be for another post haha.  *NOTE: REALLY SORRY THERE ARE SPOILERS BUT THESE MOVIES ALL HAVE HAPPY ENDINGS ANYWAY SO UHM, YEAH OKAY.
#1 on my list is one of my all time favorite movies, and it also happens to be the movie I'm watching as I type this post. But I love Grease. Not only because it's a musical movie, but I love movies that take place in high school settings filled with romance, bad boys, and the hand jive. So, Grease is the perfect catch isn't it? I actually have to thank my mum for letting me watch this movie with her when I was 10, and since then, I love watching every single minute of it's upbeat energy and sassy jokes.
#2 is another High School classic, straight from the 80's. And, this one doesn't have musical numbers every single minute but I like it because of it's emotion. And the fact that it's about complete strangers coming together on a Saturday because they all have detention makes the plot even better. So, yeah The Breakfast Club is a classic movie for all who haven't seen it. And, it's also gonna make you cry a freaking river. But oh well, it's for good reason, haha.
& Finally, #3 is another 80's movie that I love from the minute that my mom showed me. And, this one i just watched today as well. But the reason why I love Sixteen Candles is not just because Jake Ryan is the hottie of the century, but I love the storyline. Sixteen year old Sam has the worst birthday ever because her parents totally forget her birthday due to her sister's wedding. And what's even more awesome is Long Duck Dong, the foreign exchange student that comes out from the tree shouting "HEEY SEXY GIRLFRIEND!"

So there you have it, 3 of my favorite high school movies. It's awesome that most of these movies are from the 80's too haha, so I guess you can say that I'm secretly wishing to be an 80's kid, but I have my parents to tell me about those times so I can "reminisce" with them. Of course there are other 80's high school movies out there that I haven't watched: Footloose, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Pretty in Pink (or anything Molly Ringwald, LOL). If you guys love movies about the good ol' High School days then I suggest watching these movies, haha.

Now back to watching Grease,
Bea
